After finishing the Spartacus TV series on Starz, I wanted to learn more about the slave rebellion and accuracy of the show. This was a fairly quick listen on Audible and I enjoyed the content and stories. The Roman Empire, gladiators, and slave rebellions are fascinating to me. This period of history and the people, including Spartacus, Crixus, Crassus, Pompey, and Caesar is compelling.
Although much is unknown about 100 BC-70 BC, this book has detailed historical information. I’d recommend for anyone interested in this period.
