Today is Hannah’s 16th birthday. As our oldest, we’ve shared many firsts with her. Next week, she’ll be the first to get a driver’s license.
Time is a funny thing—when you’re in the moment, it often seems to drag on. Things can feel like they take forever. But when you look back, it feels like it all flew by.
Fortunately, we live in an era where capturing photos and videos is easy. I often look back and cherish the fond memories and family traditions we’ve established.
Traditions hold special meaning for Hannah, and we have many. Last night, we may have inadvertently started a new one by staying up until 12:01 to wish her a happy birthday. Then, she took us for a midnight drive to celebrate her impending freedom.
I could go on, but I’ll save that for private moments. For now, I just want to wish my beautiful daughter Hannah a happy and wonderful birthday.
